The first day of play of the PBT brought three clear wins and one close game.

In the first match of the tournament, the Hakusoh Globetrotters took on Lithuanian team BK Utenos Titanai, who jumped into the tournament as a last minute replacement for France, at Tempo field. The Globetrotters, formerly the International Stars, had a very good start to the encounter. After two innings, they led 8-0 thanks to three home runs. But the Lithuanian players fought back and took the game to the 9th inning. During the game, they were able to enjoy a hit over the fence. The game ended with the Globetrotters winning 11:2.

The defending champion from Spain defeated the American University team, for which Czech pitcher Boris Večerka is also on the roster, 13-4. In the end, both teams changed their pitchers and two more home runs were seen.

Czech Prospects dictated the pace from the top of the 1st inning in the game against The North Baseball. They finally broke the game open in the middle of the game when they took an 8-3 lead. The game ended 13:5.

The most balanced game of the evening was the duel between the Czech Republic and Greece. In a great atmosphere created by more than 300 children from Czech clubs, Greece resisted the Czech team for a long time. The Czechs took the lead after a lead-off home run by Milan Prokop in the 1st inning and held only a one-run lead of 2-1 until the 7th inning. After that, Filip Smola homered and the Czechs won 7:1 even after errors by their opponent.
